The 38th edition of Salón Gourmets concluded its fourth and final day in Madrid with a vibrant celebration of awards, culinary excellence, and standout products. This landmark edition didn’t just meet expectations—it set a new standard, earning its place as the best in the Grupo Gourmets event’s history.
Over 117,000 professional visitors and authorities filled the expansive halls of IFEMA, Madrid’s fairground. For four full days- April 7- 10 - the Salon Gourmets confirmed the Grupo Gourmets´ status as Europe’s premier professional International Fine Food and Beverage Fair. More than 2,000 exhibitors welcomed over of 55,000 attendees across a record-breaking 72,000 square meters of exhibition space—marking the first time the fair spanned six full halls.
The fair was a sensory symphony. At one corner, Thailand orchestrated a live cooking show. In front, Norway shared their renowned skrei and fresh Arctic cod. A few steps away, Chatka, Spain´s traditional producer of crab meat. Meanwhile, a sommelier led a tasting of wine; Aneto soup offered a bar with their soups to refresh the visitor. Or Calabizo, a company based in Galicia dedicated to producing 100% plant-based pumpkin chorizo and other vegan, gluten-free gourmet products
Pizza, Hamburgers, Game, Beer… competitions pulsed with energy, from cheese-cutting duels to blind olive oil tastings, while 1,000 activities kept the halls alive with discovery. Exhibitors, from small-batch producers to global brands, showcased premium goods—think acorn-fed jamón ibérico, organic condiments, and vegan pastries that rivaled their buttery counterparts. Every stand was a stage, every product a star.
In a special note, the Prince Wine & Company, from Picanya, affected by the October 29 "Dana" flood in Valencia, chose the Salon de Gourmets to showcase their French wine and Champagne. They displayed several bottles with damaged labels from the flood.

Champions of Cheese: GourmetQuesos 2025
A longstanding favorite, the 15th GourmetQuesos – Championship of the Best Cheeses of Spain delivered yet another highlight. The coveted title of Best Cheese of Spain 2025 went to Jabaíno, crafted by María Remedios Carrasco Sánchez of Zafra, Badajoz.
Meanwhile, in the Cheese from Spain Awards hosted by ICEX, the Champion Gold was awarded to Savel, from the celebrated Airas Moniz creamery in Chantada, Lugo—another testament to Spain’s rich cheesemaking tradition.
